The Queen In Ireland
15 Answers
Just listened to the Queen and the Irish President Mary Mc Aleese give their speeches in Dublin Castle, dignified and emotional. The Queen is absoutely brilliant for a woman of her age 85, to speak with such eloquence unfaltering and heartfelt lets hope this will bring understanding and peace and good relationship to Ireland and England.

The best thing the Queen could do for Ireland is to say William of Orange committed a gross act by separating your country from the North. Now is the time to hand it back and stop the division that separation has caused.
She has visited some war memorials but these pale into insignificance the thousands who have died in the present conflicts.

Im so proud the visit is going so well as are most Irish people.I thought her speech was great and to open with a some Irish words was lovely just as many as I could manage now and I was thought the language all through school.I know not eveyone thought the visit was worth the risk security wise but Im so glad it went ahead. Here's to a peaceful future for Britain and Ireland.
