That's not what I'm thinking...............
R1.....yes......"sort of".......but as yet i am not aware of the full facts.
As wind up go's its not very subtle is it?

FAIL!!
I would say inocent till proved guilty - we do not know all the facts

I would suspect that his activities have been known about for a long time, like other French & Italian politicians.

As he was tipped to be next President, the timing couldn't have been better chosen.

Makes you think?
venator....and British.
If he`s innocent I feel sorry for him. If he`s guilty, I don`t.
I will repeat what most have said, he hasn't been to trial yet.

There have been many false accusations of rape in the past, this could be but just another.

Imagine the implications? It has caused Dominique Strauss-Kahn to give up his prestigious position, as head of the International Monetary Fund and also a chance of becoming the next French President.

There must be many who stand to gain from Dominique Strauss-Kahn's fall from grace.
no, i dont feel sorry for him . why should i ?

He might be innocent?
hje may well be innocent, but there must be a valid reason for the courts not to give him bail.

This is the United States we are talking about, not lenient Britain.

Did you notice he was also shackled, this also wouldn't happen in Britain.
"Am I getting soft?"
Yes
They didn`t give him bail because they thought he was a flight risk, not because they thought he`s guilty.
There's a nasty whiff abot the whole thing.

I don't think we know the whole story.
ATH the alleged crime took place in USA , not britain.
His only problem - he had been charged and was trying to do a runner - thats why he was arrested on plane - and know refused bail
We don`t know he was trying to do a runner. He might have been scheduled to leave that day anyway. The newspaper (Daily Mail - who else)? stated that he has a "special deal" with Air France to buy last minute tickets thus making it look like he was scarpering. That`s complete cobblers. I`ve never heard of such deals. I couldn`t understand why the maid was in his room. Housekeeping never come in your room if you`re in there. As it happened at lunchtime I assume he was vacating his room to go home that day and the maid thought the room was empty.
