Have you just lost your job?
Do you see your child's school crumbling into decay around them?
Have your council been forced to charge, for the use of the children's playground?
Are you witnessing the closure of libraries, sports and childcare facilities, etc?
Don't despair although we appear to be 'Cash Strapped Britain', the good news is we have plenty of dosh.
So much so that we can now consider ourselves to be top of the World's league in dishing out foreign aid.
Now surely that is something to rejoice about?

2) The country we send it to are not using their own resources for other less essential projects (exploration in space and the military are a couple of examples).
3) Other countries of a similar wealth contribute just as much as we do.
