The weather doesn't frighten me - I am from the North you know
Its the solitude and views that attract me. They did when I watched a couple of episodes of the programme
its the miles away from everyone else that attracts me. I'd sell my soul to live several miles away from my nearest neighbour. And like Rc, I live in Lancs for Gawds sake, don't get much colder, danker and greyer than here (unless you're from Belgium) obviously.
assuming you had permission to put some more accomodation on it... pagan retreat holidays anyone... get close to nature with a little navel gazing thrown in... anyone know what the birding is like?
probably a bit exposed but could possibly erect a wooden henge you could hug the trunks used for that.... can imagine charging a lot more for the solstice weeks.... and add in handfastings once the law is changed to allow for open air weddings....could be a winner....
most of the earliest henges were wooden, in fact Stonehenge was part of a much larger partially wooden structure ... I'm liking this idea even more....high priestess of the isles......
"John Bound, of property consultants CKD Galbraith which is managing the sale of Taransay, said: "If you've ever dreamt of owning your own island paradise then the Isle of Taransay has it all to offer."
It may be an island, but 'paradise'?
That's stretching the adjective to breaking point...
