Andy Gray phone hacking payout
.......a small victory for him over his former employer after the pathetic way they sacked him over a bit of sexist banter
Sexist banter that goes on in many workplaces countrywide, why can't women just have a laugh about it and give as good back?

If Sky wanted to get rid of him they should have pulled him from air and then not renewed his contract and not use these very very minor incidents as an excuse.
Christ, if Gray can be sacked for these non-offensive comments - and anybody who has found them offensive needs to grow up a bit - then how come the menopausal harpy old harridans on loose women are still fillng our screens with bilge? They have elevated misandry and sexism to an art form!

Just because it goes on in many workplaces countrywide, doesn't mean it is correct.
Andy Gray is an old school footballer (a good one mind you!), with an old school attitude, who thought his superstar position could get him what he wanted. How wrong could he be!
He deserved to be sacked and so did hairy hands! Best thing they ever did on Sky Sports.
If he has got a payout on phone hacking then so be it. That's a separate issue.

sqad would anyone know that unless they had lived and worked in those countries. I believe in France, many turn a blind eye to infidelity, the French press do not report matters of sexual misconduct of their citizens, especially the politicians, though i think that is changing now. Its why so many get away with having mistresses in the past.
Zeuhl......it' a small victory for him after his harsh dismissal (In most workplaces he'd have been given a warning but because it was headline news Sky had to be seen to be doing the right thing and so sacked him)
.....and why would he be going to the job centre when he's already got another job presenting on Talksport radio?
Do keep up there's a good chap

em....I understand that but surely some ABer may have had experience.
I am giving up on jno for an answer.
Some years ago we appointed an Australian female surgical registrar and when i took her to the nurses changing room in the theatre, she made it clear that she wasn't a nurse but a doctor and would get changed in the doctors changing room. Twice a week for a year, she stripped down to bra and pants in the presence of an all male company and donned theatre clothes. She gave as much banter as she got and gave the impression that this was the norm in Australia.
That was the point of my question.
