What effect will this have? Will we seen burglars going "tooled up"? Will the front pages be full of the latest dead burglar every week?

With so many Dead Bodies likely to be lying about in our Homes I was thinking of starting up either an Undertakers Business or a Kitchen Knives Collection ! ;-)
Brenden sorry was being a little cheeky, as far as i am concened my frying pan will suffice, next one come near.
Do you not think this will act as a deterrent to would be burglars.
"Bodies and Blades plc" redman?

No sharp practices, mind you.
I don't know if I could stab a burglar, when confronted - unless he was threatening me, and then would I just stand and freeze. I mean, how many mistakes are going to be made - will everyone now rush out to buy impliments to clobber the burglar with.

How many poor unsuspecting teenagers, creeping in late at night, trying not to wake up their parents, will get a wallop on the head or worse !
Hi DT, good to see you back x

Brenden, no, it might persuade them to attack first, whereas before they might just have burgled you and left. No idea really, but this sorry situation, what is right, reasonable force, or other is beyond a joke.
I stood up to little yobs trying to hurt a young lad, who was on his own, very brave of the mob, as usual, and did scare the daylights out of a would be thief who tried to nick my stuff, and would do it again.
thx Bobbi - apologies CM for this personal message.
I really don't think I could stab someone, if they were just running off with my telly........(:o(

I dont think any of us would really know what we would do in the circumstances where you awake from sleep to find an intruder in your house. Instinct and fear spring to mind and the use of anything to hand to attack the intruder.
