Some people would like it to be, so they can point a finger and say see i told you so.
Your link just says he acted alone, it does not say he didn't have contact with other like minded far right individuals in Norway or other countries. It is known he lived in London as a child and it is also known he came here for the visit of Wilders. He claims to have met EDL members and others on that trip. EDL members have said they met him and he was a nice bloke.
So No, the media haven't jumped on a band wagon.

If you have the stomach to read through some of the ramblings on here, you'll find edl members discussing their 'relationships' with Anders Breivik.
This link was provided by 'Safiya' and I would echo her disclaimer, that it makes particularly unpleasant reading. It makes robust use of the Anglo-Saxon language, in addition to showing some unhealthy viewpoints.......
And all provided by edl supporters themselves, I found it, if not exactly illuminating, certainly it confirmed what I have long thought about such groups and their aims/agendas.

// Another senior member of the EDL, who spoke to The Daily Telegraph on condition of anonymity, said he understood Breivik had met EDL leaders when he came to Britain to hear Wilders speak in London last year.
“I spoke to him a few times on Facebook and he is extremely intelligent and articulate and very affable,” said the source. “He is someone who can project himself very well and I presume there would be those within the EDL who would be quite taken by that.
It’s like Hitler, people said he was hypnotic. This guy had the same sort of effect.” //

// Anders Behring Breivik emailed his 1,500-page “manifesto” to 250 British contacts less than 90 minutes before he detonated a bomb in Oslo.
Scotland Yard’s domestic extremism unit, which is investigating Breivik’s British links, has been sent a list of UK-based email addresses among 1,003 recipients of the document. //

as jack said up there ^^^^ the link we both provided shows screenshots of fb groups with one man saying he had ABB on his fb friends.....
"clive, he was on a lot of EDL lists for a for a good while, mine included mate"
and "i was going to say links is a bit broad, he had around 150 EDL on his lists, bar one or two i doubt the rest of us met him, although he did come over for one of our demos in 2010 but what he did was wrong, RIP all that died as a result of his actions"
that to me backs up his claim that he did meet EDL members

No Proof Of UK Link with the Nowegian Bomber
they have changed the wording but the big noise over there states
>> Norwegian domestic intelligence chief Janne Kristiansen has told the BBC no evidence has so far been found linking Anders Behring Breivik with far-right extremists in Norway or elsewhere. <<
who in the past has said that papers make up stories to sell more copies
or do they only make up stories when it suits your own agenda

it depends what you mean by 'links' and what you mean by 'evidence'.
Breivik's claims are evidence. Kristiansen hasn't been able to find any *corroborative* evidence that might show he was telling the truth. Perhaps they will still do so, perhaps not. But I would have thought the media were well within their rights reporting his claims, even if they prove to be false in the end (as I suspect they will be).
It does seem from other posts on this thread that he was in contact with British rightwingers. Whether that is the same as 'links' is a matter for debate.

Noted, that it's not just the UK where this person sent his "manifesto".... http://www.mail.com/i....2396-stage-teaser1-5
