They will stop being franchised dealers and either sell another type of vehicle or stop trading all together.

I used to be a Rover technician in a franchised garage for 7 years.  I'm sad what's happened to Rover (not as good as the Honda days) and I'm also concerned for ex-colleagues who still work at Rover garages.  Some garages will be lucky and pick up another franchise easy but if all are already taken then.... adios amigos! :(
