How pray, does he intend to do this?
Is he going to introduce a ban on hoodies, will that also include the Burka?

Police will apparently have the power to ask people to remove headgear if they are suspected of being with intent to commit a crime which seems sensible to me and I'm surprised they can't do this already.
Doubtless if someone was wearing a burqa and was acting similarly suspiciously they would also be alsked to remove it.
Didn't see TOO many burqa-wearers during the recent riots, but I may have missed them of course.

I think he said that the police can rip off their masks and pull down their hoodies so they can see their faces. I've got a hoodie I wear to the gym - do you think they will arrest me? Especially as Virgin have just offered me a free Blackberry Curve. I could run down Paignton looting the charity and 99p shops! Not to mention QS and EWM!!
Good idea to ban hooded clothing but I believe this was talked about before and nothing changed. btw you can hide a whole different sex orientation under a burqa never mind a few swords and knives etc., they were soft on this option before, unlike France. Perhaps they will agree now that it is an unnecessary peice of clothing.

"Banning hooded clothing" is not, as far as I am aware, on the agenda.
Lots of things are "unnecessary bits of clothing" .
I'm intrigued by the idea of hiding "a whole different sex orientation under a burqa". The mind fairly goggles!

Talk is cheap Cameron is like every politician, he says what he thinks we want to hear, but nothing is done.
When you talk about the malaise of society, first place you should look at, is political statement. There is no responsibility, it been going on for at least 20 years. They get questioned, give a sound bite answer, promise action and nothing gets done.
I had high hopes of Boris Johnson (seriously) because he appeared to actualy write the cheques that his mouth wrote but in the last couple of months it appears he is as measly mouthed as his collegues.
