It's just one of many things that affect the environment. I believe the suggestion is just to take it into consideration and redo the sums.
This was already disproven years ago and confirmed

For example

What we have here is a bunch of desperates trying to reinterpret CERN's Data

Show me the pae on CERN's website where they say a large proportion of global warming is down to the sun
I take it this is what they are considering ? I've not checked either of the other links in this thread, but read this recently.

http://www.newscienti...t-on-the-climate.html
Here's the actual paper:

http://www.nature.com...e10343.html#/comments

//Despite extensive research, we still lack a quantitative understanding of the nucleation mechanism and the possible role of cosmic rays, creating one of the largest uncertainties in atmospheric models and climate predictions//

So basically they're saying "We haven't got a good grip on it"

By the time the climate change skeptics have finished with it you have a very different story

I think that rather demonstrates my point above about desperate people trying to reinterpret data and shove it out in newspapers
Does anyone doubt that climate change is taking place, because it is. The argument is how much impact is by man against those who believe that it is part of a natural cycle.

So far there is no definative evidence just theorys, however we do know, unequivicaly that this has happened before and it was a long time prior to the industrial revoloution.
Always thought it was a bad newspaper.
According to Al Gore, Global Warming Sceptics Are This Generation's Racists.

Don't they just love putting labels around everybody that dares to have an opinion of their own?

That's right Dave

However this one is different.

We can account for the past ones due to the variations in natural events.

We can't account for this one this way the maths just doesn't add up.
When to take account of the Human Intervention it does.

Yes there are a lot of natural sources of Grrenhouse gasses but our contribution is pushing it over the edge.

Run a tap in your sink and it drains out of the plug-hole

Add a hose to the sink and you're very quickly going to get a wet kitchen.

Same principle
And has,nt Al Gore made a mint of money out of "global warming" So the ice caps are melting, but we did,nt have ice caps until the ice age, I honestly believe that what is happening is a natural phenomena, natural occurences that happen throughout time, not forgetting that earth is moving slowly towards the sun.
And the fact that every professional science institution in the world stuffed full with people who have intimate knowledge of the data and techniques says you're wrong doesn't bother you at all?

Are you equally expert in medicine and the law, being better informed than those experts?

How about flying jets?

Do you seriously think all the researchers working on climate change are unaware that there have been climate changes in the past?

Do you think there's the remotest chance that they might know more about it than you?
Who rattled your cage JTP, There are a lot of scientific institutions that disagree with global warming - please do not ask me to name them -and we are not voicing our opinions on law or medicine. You (quite rightly) are 100% convinced your views are correct, I am 100% convinced they are not - Stalemate.
Just name 1

No scientific body of national or international standing has maintained a dissenting opinion; the last was the American Association of Petroleum Geologists,

No it's not stalemate.

I'm not claiming to be an expert.

I was a professional scientist but unlike you I recognise my lack of specific expertise.

Some of the brightest people I knew were climate scientists and my opinion is based on the overwhelming support from these people of that position.

Not because someone just pointed out to me that the Earth's climate has changed before.
"Some of the brightest people I knew "

thats not much of a reference

pompous and arrogant in the extreme, as usual you say it therefore it must be so
I have never claimed to be an expert JT, I said in my "opinion" - very different.
Let me correct myself. I said I honestly believe.
so the earth is held in stalemate because Brenden doesn't accept the opinions of scientists? Great. Let me know when you've found lots of scientific bodies that agree with you.

"There are a lot of scientific institutions that disagree with global warming - please do not ask me to name them"

Oops, I forgot, you're not going to. What an argument! "I honestly believe this is true but I have no evidence whatever and don't intend to find any."
I won’t go into the debate on Global Warming (aka “Climate Change”) because there are far more important things to talk about. However, many of the “world’s leading experts” have told me to expect many disasters throughout my life. I have been told I (and up to half the world’s population) can expect to die of AIDS, Bird ‘Flu, the Ebola Virus, Swine ‘Flu, Green Monkey disease, Laughing Parrot disease (OK, I made the last two up). None of these (and a few more besides which I cannot remember) has proved to be true. We’re all still here.

So it will be with this latest bought of hysteria. But the troubling thing is that unlike the previous scares (which, at worst, involved the government buying 25 million doses of unnecessary vaccine) the lunacy this time has far more serious repercussions. The money wasted on “wind farms” alone means that consumers will be paying a huge premium for their electricity and the nation’s power supplies will be put in jeopardy. Personally, I’d rather take my chances by ignoring what the “experts” suggest.
What are your views than jno, not forgetting that I have already stated that the earth is moving towards the sun which of course could cause global warming.
Brenden
brenden //What are your views than jno, not forgetting that I have already stated that the earth is moving towards the sun which of course could cause global warming.//

No its not ! In fact the gravity of the sun is reducing as it is consuming its mass. The earth is actually moving away from the sun 3.8 cm per year.

//The earth moves away from the sun at approximately 3.8 centimeters per year.
One reason it does this is because the sun is constantly losing mass due to solar wind. The other reason is due to tidal forces.//
