/// Det Con Maxwell has been on leave from the force on half pay since July 2009 while suffering from depression ///
So this former black and homosexual police officer is suing the Met for homophobic attitudes and racial discrimination, because he is facing dismissal from the force after being off sick since July 2009.
How blowing the whistle on his former colleagues anti terrorist actions will help his case, I just do not know.
If any of those passengers with obvious non-white names including Arabic and African sounding names, consider they have been unfairly treated, surely it is for them to sue the Met?
The case, which is expected to last six weeks, should be an interesting one to follow.

/// aog does not appear to be bothered that the anti-terrrorist police were not dong their job properly. ///
Who says they wasn't, only this guy who obviously has an axe to grind?
/// if they didn't know their details were being used in the first place how can they take sue? ///
Exactly, so how can it help his claim.

"Who says they wasn't, only this guy who obviously has an axe to grind?"
"How blowing the whistle on his former colleagues anti terrorist actions will help his case, I just do not know."
You asked why the passengers don't sue the Met and then appear to know already that they would not know they had been checked, so why ask the question in the first place?
The allegations made are being investigated, the evidence will be looked at and a decision will be made. I was making the point that part of the allegation involves the claim that the Met police were not doing their job properly and yet you chose not to concentrate on that. You appear to think it is not a problem that the claim is being made. Could there not be a connexion between his whistle blowing and the way he claims to have been treated?
He says the police were claiming to have checked those wi Arabic and African names, if a John Smith were let through un-checked only because of his name, would you agree that would be wrong?
With regard to "obvious non-white names" you again associate a nationality wi a certain colour, you keep being telt

If you mean "With" and "Told", then I can begin to make some sense of what you have put.
Nevertheless let me inform you that if you had took the trouble to read all the report, instead of just trying to make me out to be a racist, then you would have not failed to notice that those words were the utterances of the person himself, who happens to be black so therefore could not be classed a racist.
/// 'My colleagues would then sift through the cards they had taken, looking for passengers with what they considered obvious non-white names including Arabic and African sounding names. ///
Now you know the true facts, perhaps you will equally criticise this police officer for daring to associate a nationality with a certain colour? As it appears it is he who cannot grasp that fact.

/// Wow how much would your knickers have been in a twist if he had been black, homosexual, foreign and had kids!!! ///
My underwear is perfectly straight, even though it is fact that he fits at least two of the four.
Perhaps there is a chance he may fit all four, but even if this was a fact, I would still be unruffled may I add.
How's yours now?
