As they say, it is better to keep quiet and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt!
How can Cameron speak with any authority when he hasn't the backing of his own people. He dare not give his own people the chance to express their feelings on the EU. He is not speaking for his constituents or the electorate of this country. So for once I agree with the French. T

Very commendable for a politician of such high standing, though he is a bit on the short side, to be rude, why would it be necessary. Not so much standing up for Cameron, but the Frenchman could do with having some manners. They are supposed to be allies after all, storm in a teacup.

Since when have we been allies ? For most of the past century the French weren't even a member of Nato. They have always put the interests of France first as they are now . I didn't say Sarckozy is right about Europe but he was right in telling Cameron that he didn't have the voice of the British people.
allies as in the EU, and france and Britain were allies in WW1, WW2, perhaps before was a different matter.
