Where can I buy a poppy from? Is there a shop? Either the simple paper one or the pin badge one will be fine.

i bought my little pin badge from a street seller on saturday. She had the traditional paper ones and the little pins as well.

I get the kids the paper ones (usually end up buying a lot more than 1 each as they lose them) and thought this year a pin on my handbag would last longer.
Anybody feel that this OP may actually be living in Poppyland.
Londo has loads (yes if I could italic this) of poppy sales points, start with your Post Office or Supermarket, never mind the newsagents/pubs.

Poppycock IMO

No, but I feel you're being unnecessarily rude. Read feelap's post at 23.14 Tuesday, and mine at 9.06 today.
With due respect, Naomi, I find that hard to believe - if anything like down here in the SW, we are being rightfully bombarded with the efforts of all of the sellers and their outlets - as they are pushing for record sales this year.

I would find it hard to believe that London is a poppy desert in this - or does it reflect the apathy of our capital city?
Most pubs have fhem
DT, there are plenty here too - but up until yesterday, at least, it appears they were hard to come by in the City. My husband said he had seen none on sale.
perhaps it reflects the sense of immense generosity of our bankers and associates at large within the City, or the impact of the St Pauls crew....(on both sides of the "fence" dividing the spiritual from the camp).
I doubt it. They'll be around next week.
lol, Naomi - the camp? the St Pauls staff (if there are any left on the books - no pun intended about the left)?, the bankers or the poppy sellers coming around next week?

I still find it somewhat incredulous that they aren't out already as they are flooding the streets down here and therefore why I support the very first answer to this thread, hence my skepticism to this question posed.....
DTcrosswordfan i never got one last year and i posted about this this other day
that i have seen none for sale

the shops near me are owned by asians and i have never seen them selling a poppy
that is possible, DrF, are you in the City or living in our multi-cultured capital?
The British Legion HQ is in central London
The Royal British Legion
199 Borough High Street
London SE1 1AA
For information about obtaining wreaths, Remembrance crosses or poppies
Contact The Poppy Appeal on +44 (0)1622 717172 or write to the address above.

If you really can't find many sellers, contact the Legion and sell them in your work place. We do, we have them on reception and in our cafe.
the pubs though?
Bought mine on 24th October in my acupuncturist's shop.
i have not been down to manchester city centre for over two years and the only time i get to see ashton town centre is when i go for a hospital visit

Lidl are selling them, as are Sainsburys and Morrisons :)
Not easy then DrF, I can understand that but I would have thought your nearest local would have a box....even if you don't drink...
i have no intention of going into any pub since the smoking ban was started
lol - DrF - a pint and a poppy go west.
