What are your thoughts on the Penn State Scandal
I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I witnessed something like that and didn't turn someone in. So heartless that someone could be more concerned about their income and power that you not come forward about something so horrendous.

Apparently, a coach at Penn STate had been abusing boys and was reported to senior staff - one of whom is some sort of "legend" in Football (american style) and he has now resigned?retired from the job after at least 20 years in the job, and ther is now talk of criminal prosecutions because no one reported the coach to the police
The accused is said in the article to face 400 years in jail. You (almost) have to laugh at the Americans' jail sentences. It might be worth committing a serious crime if it could guarantee that you would live 400 years! But not so good if it's in an American jail. In a British holiday camp, sorry, jail, it wouldn't be so bad. Still, a 400-year sentence makes more sense than a British 'life' sentence which on average lasts about 9 years, or a 10-year sentence that means you get out in 5 years. I also hate the news media that report that a gang of four or five were sentenced to a total of 30 years in jail. It makes it sound as though the court was strict with them, but they actually got individual sentences that were ludicrously lenient.
