Should this man sue Coca-Cola for false advertising? His diet isn't going as well as he planned.

What false advertising?
full sugar coke is probably the more healthier coke than the diet version
Aspartame is very bad for you in large doses.

I was addicted to caffeine....quite badly. The withdrawals are much worse than people think.
Wouldn't it be the caffine that he's addicted to hence the bad moods when he doesn't get his fix.
Oh...and there's no false advertising. The ingredients are listed. Caffeine, like any drug, is addictive.
I'm unsure why some folk have to reach such a dramatic stage before they realise there is a problem that needs to be tackled. I'm also unsure why any newspaper would consider it news, I guess it must be quiet in the world today. I don't see any evidence of planning. Just compulsive behaviour that has yet to be tackled.
Years ago when I used to work in a branch if MacDonalds, it always tickled me when someone would come in, order a Big Mac, large fries, apple pie and a Diet Coke - like the drink was made of magic.
:-)
But the thing is it didn't increase an already large calorie count as much as the non diet would. Damage limitation.
He should be more concerned that he's massively overweight.
Splat - I would order that in McDonalds if I went too... I just don't like the taste of the full flab drinks*, nowt to do with the magical properties of diet coke! :c)

(*Cept ginger beer, I like full flab ginger beer).

That is what I was getting at flip_flop. If I was addicted to a weight loss aid, I wouldn't expect to have that many chins!
A friend who works in a hospital told me that babies born to women who drink lots of Cola drinks during pregnancy behave like babies born from drug addicts. The babies cry a lot because once born, they too are addicted to what the mother has been having and are suffering from withdrawal symptoms.
ah, but how fat would he be if all those Diet Cokes were real Cokes?
Not sure but I do sometimes wonder if the body can actually deal with real sugar better than it can deal with the artificial stuff.
Hasn't caused him any health problems? He is probably on the top rate of "sickness" benefit?
