/// 14.20 David Cameron has emerged from his lunch with Nicolas Sarkozy at the Elysee Palace, Paris. He told reporters that UK interests need protecting and enhancing if there are treaty
changes. ///

How is it those words fill me with dread, is there something he isn't telling us?

Couldn't be that he is planning to join the Euro?

If he does his career could well be over.
Wouln't that mean a referendum AOG or has the Merkel/Sarkozy alliance won on this point and refused us it. I know there has been some talk about it.
My money is that he will "win" an opt out of the working time directive at some stage probably for treaty changes.

That of course affects precisely nobody seeing as most people in effect simply opt out of it now so it's free and lets him play the strong man

You heard it here first!
naa even a 100% Euphile will reaslise that is political suicide.
Don't hold your breath . He is no Maggie Thatcher .
I don't think he is planning to join the Euro...parliament would never allow it. But to protect Britain from debt defaults he will need to support the Euro probably by putting money into a central fund so that it does not collapse.
AOG - those words sound similar to a football club chairman saying on Friday evening, that "...the manager has my total support ..." and we all know what happens on Monday morning!
A politician not telling us the whole truth? Shurely schome mistake?
