If that is his opinion, daft though it may be, then he has a right to express it. I also find rather disturbing the "he was allowed to say" bit, in the same way I find rather disturbing the pillorying of Diane Abbott for making remarks, - misguided though they may be (or not) - on Twitter (if we're going to have toilets like Twitter we shouldn't be surprised when people cr*p in them).

It's possibly to engage with or relate to an argument even if one does not agree with it. I did not hear the original broadcast, but if an argument has gone over one's head that implies that one has not understood it, in which case one should ask for it to be repeated.
If one thinks the argument is rubbish, having perfectly well inderstood it, then that's quite different.

I totally disagree with Henry Bonsu's assessment. It in itself is racist. It is out of touch with what the vast majority of indiginous Britons think, and paints everyone with the same brush. He is wrong. There are plenty of racists about who do harbour the thoughts that Bonsu attributes to all white people. But rather than all, or the majority, they are greatly in the minority.

I find what Bonsu said to be offensive to me as a white person. It was his opinion, but he didn't really have any evidence or scientific measure of this supposed built in arrogance or assumed privilege.

I tried to do a little research on who Bonsu is. All I could find was he used to be a DJ on BBC Radio London. If this was any example of the nonsense he spouts, no wonder the station shut.

If you listen to the programme, You will find the comment above was a polite way of saying that Bonsu was talking rubbish. It was clearly a provocative and attention grabbing statement. Blecksley, rather cleverly ignored, avoided and dismissed the ludicrous statement by claiming he didn't understand it. Genious.
