It seems the immigrants have a better work ethic. Meaning they want to work. And in general they are better educated than the unemployed here.
Bit of a blow to the racists.

Ha ha! Well why talk to me about 'twisting' then. I think it's you who needs to keep up.
Question Author
can you teach people to work?apparently not.and its the stockpile of longterm unemployed that are the problem and that wont work. simle really.
Teddy boy, why is it necessary to be so patronising and rude, I am sure naomi can think for herself, but you always seem so argumentative no matter the reply
I've read Redhelen's post - and I agree with her completely. I was addressing the heading to your question - and it's still illogical.
There is a minimum wage, a lot of immigrants are working for below that. Go figure.
Question Author
naomi youre not keeping up.thats not my fault. the facts remain, irrespective of your wittering.
it does make one think em.....guess thats why the good Jamaican mothers like Dianne Abott send their children to private school lol
Question Author
And a lot of unemployed are working cash in hand. whats your point?
Question Author
mick isnt it a parents perogative to do the best by their children?
Teddyboy, it is, but then you shouldn't lecture others, particularly if you are a high profile politician about sending your children to fee paying schools, as she did.
The point is that it is a much more complex scenario that you state in your rather shouty question. We have mostly just added ingredients for further thought on the subject. I suggest you ingest.
Question Author
d9 i disagree entirely. em10 whats it got to do with immigration? is it because shes black? i cant see any other connection to immigration.
mickrog, good Jamaican mothers and fathers send their children back to Jamaica for their education, as ours fails time and time again.
Question Author
yes mick said that but whay did you need to add to it? nothing to do with my post. are you a racist?
"More people, less jobs. Simple logic. "

Yes, the logic is simple. Unfortunately, economics isn't. The idea that there's a fixed/unalterable number of jobs in the economy (which is what your argument needs to work) only really applies if you were to hypothetically push the pause button for a moment. But obviously that's not how economies work - they're nearly always moving, even if they're not growing.
LOL, Teddy_boy is an idiot!
Question Author
Exactly kromovaracun.
of course it's not because of the colour of her skin, it's because you said shouldn't all parents do right by their children, and yes they should, but Ms Abbott doesn't think that people should send their children to fee paying schools which is on record, which is somewhat two faced by sending her own to public school. As to immigration, it's had a massive impact on Britain, whether now or 50 years ago, and not necessarily for the better.
Question Author
Diane abbots son has said he asked to go there. As for immigration, when do you think it started? 50 years ago? Really?
Krom, //even if they're not growing// is rather relevant here - but that wasn't the reason for my comment. I was making the point at its simplest. That's all.
