If I was offered one........I certainly wouldn't turn it down, particularly if the sum was "peanuts" in the greater picture.

Sorry Sqad but in my eyes he'll be deemed to have turned the bank around when it's in the black by having recouped its losses that WE are covering and the government no longer own 83% of it.
Not sure the recently unemployed 2,000 RBS workers (none from the boardroom I'll wager) will be overjoyed at such a massive bonus awarded to the CEO. He didn't turn their fortunes around.

Phil...well according to one reporter on TV who interviewed all 3500 that lost their job at RBS, they all said that he had done a good job and that he deservrd his bonus...........anecdotal i realise.
I would just have loved to have been in on the discussions when Heston was offered the job.............the"deal"would have been quite different from popular knowledge...........I bet.
