What is your problem Philtaz ????
Were you there, did it affect you in any way ???
If not, why are you getting involved ????

Just pointing out that after recent events it's the last thing LFC need and it is breaking news.

For all I know they may all be Everton fans, it's just that LFC could do without their name being associated, that's all.

Why, have you got a persecution complex?
So what you meant to type was

Does the city of Liverpool and its football clubs need any more bad news.

Theres no indication in that report what club those "fans" support. Therefore no need to highlight one club
Sounds like your average night out in Liverpool. What's the big deal....How does this link to what has been going on at Liverpool as to Suarez.

In short, it doesn't.
You seem to be leading a rather sad life Philtaz if all you can do all day is trawl the Internet seeking out minor News Articles like this !
Just another excuse to do some mud slinging from the other end of the M62
Question Author
No jack, didn't mean to type that at all. LFC was mentioned because they've been involved in one or two high profile incidents of late (you may have noticed) whilst Everton FC haven't, which is why as a result of the Liverpool v Everton match last year LFC have their name linked to another incident, that's all.

Hence the question in the title.

I was right redman, persecution complex. Apologies for keeping abreast of the (breaking) news.

Other end of the M62? How very dare you! The team I used to follow several years ago doesn't even play in Premiership and is well south of Birmingham so you can dispense with the idea that I support Man Ure or the real Mancs.

Now now Lord_Elpus...

I did wonder that too though! redman believes this to be a 'minor news article'.
Obviously the BBC News ticker has a different view of Merseyside Police officers being charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, as I guess would most other media sources.
to be fair though Philtaz (bet you didn't think you'd see me here! ha!) it's not really bad news surrounding LFC is it? In fact it's not even anything to do with LFC, it's a few people that may be fans of either Liverpool or Everton in a fight and, being the football fan you are, I'm sure you'll appreciate it's not exactly out of the norm.
It does, however, reflect very badly on Merseyside police.

Which is why I said they may be Everton fans for all I know, but someone will doubtless have a field day if they're found to be Reds and not Bluenoses!

Imagine the Everton fanzines headlines!
Breaking news? No. I heard about it on the day of the game. In fact it was announced at the ground at that game that Anfield Road was closed by this pub as there was an 'incident'. I only had to read the Liverpool Echo afterwards to find out more about it. So I'm assuming that Evertonians knew about it at the time aswell.
Question Author
Not sure the Liverpool and Everton fans knew Police Officers were involved in the violence nor had a premonition of the subsequent charges of an alleged attempt to pervert the course of justice by Merseyside Police Officers though spudqueen.

Unless of course Derek Acorah was on the case, he's a Mickey Mouser and ex LFC footballer isn't he?
