Are right-wingers a little dim?

I wonder how many left-wing Daily Mail haters will agree wholeheartedly with this latest survey?
I also wonder for what side of the political spectrum these academics bat for?
From what I can gather from some of the questions asked, agree with 'Left' views or you are a 'right-winger' therefore dim.
Just another method at name calling by the 'nasty left'.

Have you seen these thugs with their racist opinions (often badly) tattooed about bits of themselves?
Have you seen the sneering snarling thuggery aimed at anyone *different* close to hand?
I have had that misfortune...and poster-boys for a fair and equitable society they ain't!!!!!!

/// Not bad for a so called nasty leftie eh! ///
My remark of 'nasty left' was not intended to be taken personally Steve.
It is a common phrase to describe such Lefties who seem unable to accept opposite thoughts to their own.
Without mentioning any names in particular, one has only got to listen to a certain Scottish radio presenter and the way he addresses anyone who fails to agree with him, the same can be said for some Labour MPs when they feature in TV discussions etc.

isn't that the point of being left and right? opposites ? you are taking it further by calling them all nasty as well.
i'm beginning to think the survey is correct.

AOG "the same can be said for some Labour MPs when they feature in TV discussions" No matter what your political persuasion that has to be seen for the one eyed bias that it is.
So I take it that Tory MP's just acquiesce when challanged
Also I don't know where you live but I was born and brought up in inner city London I have seen the far right marching, I have been in pubs where they have congregated. No right minded person, of any description, would want to associate with them, racism, a total lack of understanding of the world around them, except for the knowing few and a blind fury at the world around them.

I suppose the safety of the status quo depends on your definition.. Security is an important drive in humans and rapid change can make even the intelligent feel threatened.. reaction to a perceived threat is not unintelligent it is instinct..and tribal animals will band together for security... to some extent it is the qualities of the leaders that then become key to the direction of the group for having elected to fall in behind a flag it can be difficult to step outside again... It might be possible the 'intelligent' will rationalise the decision to be 'other' but to be other does not necessarily mean being left wing... or liberal... and the ability to survive and thrive outside of a group setting is a relatively new possibilty for humans
And as for do gooders... a lot of good is done by the 'conservative classes' this group includes the ladies and retired gentlemen who form the backbone of many charitable organisations, the fundraisers, the fete organisers, the workers in charity shops... many are well educated but for social or personal reasons prefer to quietly get on with helping others. When questioned closely it is quite possible you will find it is lack of exposure to the social pressures in big cities that can make them appear ignorant naive, or right wing so far as things like immigration, law and order, deployment of forces etc are concerned They would see it however as having 'standards' and 'responsibilities' and heaven forbid pride in their country. The difference is they do not usually resort to constructed ideologies created by academics to guide their decision making more likely it will be patterns that have proved effective over many generations
They may never march in protest...but they may write to their MP (or corner him at the golf club) which may in the end prove more effective...
