Today is the Centenary of the RFC. (Radio 4)
Where is all the acknowledgement of these fine men, a huge percentage of them died in establishing our 1st World War air coverage, the Corps going on to become the RAF?
I would argue that this is a far more important date to recognise than what they are "celebrating" this weekend.
RIP to all those aviators who gave their lives for the protection of Britain.

There may well be numerous memorials and 'celebrations' for them... how do you know there aren't?
they are not as 'famous' or known so widely as Titanic, which is why they are not all over the news
or dont memorials and remembrances count if they're not splashed all over the papers and news?
there is room for the remembrance of all who have died in tragedies and in wars - it is not a competition
