He has signed a tenancy agreement so he should stick to it. If it was his own house he could fly as many flags as he liked.

Don't 'lifelong bachelor's' usually send codes to other 'lifelong bachelor's' with their hankerchIeves or something. He is just going over the top for Jubilee Year by advertising his gay proclivities with Union Jacks.

Many things look ridiculous ummmm, the Nissan Juke, women with blue hair, neck tattoos, most things by Damien Hirst. Peolple comment and move on.
The man's flying a few flags, not to my taste but they're not offensive or dangerous.
I suspect that Flagship Housing are over reacting for one reason or another. Perhaps the identity of the complainant(s) would shed some light on their rush to deal with the "offence".

He could do whatever he liked if the property was his own, but it isn't. The same objections would still be valid if he was flying the Pakistani flag, or Manchester United flags, or the Irish tricolour on St. Pats day.

It is over the top i agree but its for a special event and for a very limited time.

I'm sure there will be bunting up and down the country , row upon row of flags all identical , whats the difference, after the parties theyll all come down

Everyone has the same tenancy rules and everyone must agree to abide by them and sign them. The flags fall foul to rules yhat apply to ALL of Flagships Tenants.

Do you have any proof he is being picked on for being white and British?
Do you have any proof his neighbours are not white and British
Do you have proof that other nationality' flags are flown without impedence?

I am answering the question.

There is one set of rules that apply to all regardless of colour and nationality.

He has broke a rule so has been given time to comply. If you have evidence the same has not been applied to other tenents, then please post a link to it.

Somewhat unfortunate that the Housing Association is called Flagship.

A bachelor (in terms of marital status) is someone who has never married so the use of the term 'lifelong' is redundant, adding nothing to the meaning.

Blimey it seems that our language has been so high-jacked by different groups these days, that one has to be very careful what one says.

I wonder how a lifelong bachelor or a confirmed bachelor goes on if he happens to be heterosexual?

Surely this is a case of extreme stereotyping?
