Yes.

We should leave the EU and form an alliance with Switzerland.

The Anglo Swiss Union.
Perhaps we could apply to the USA to become the 51st State?
That's why I always vote UKIP
i would vote for it.
Yes they can have my vote
think other nations will be voting on this soon and some are regretting joining, eseciallty those who contribute more than they receive. Good to see the Greeks putting two fingers up to the powers that be!!
Yes I'd like out, it's the dictation from Brussels that gets on my wick.
Yes, yes and yes again. That's why we will never be given the option of voting - we will have to wait until the EU hopefully collapses under its own steam.
I'm old enough to have taken part in the vote to join. Given the way it has evolved I don't think anyone would have voted for it. Nothing worse than faceless unelected bureacrats telling people how to live their lives and what's good for them.
Where are the Pro Europeans tonight, or are they keeping their heads down in the light of the disarray happening in the EU. Or trying to come up with more reasons we should stay in and indeed sign up to the Euro.
We did not have a vote to join. We had already been members for three years at the time. The vote was whether or not we should accept the renegotiated terms of entry under Harold Wilson. This was a staged political referendum designed to help Labour win the elections of the previous year. I don't remember the renegotiated terms being spelt out in detail or how they differed from the original ones. Those brave and gallant MPs from both Labour and Conservative who campaigned against entry and continued membership against the prevailed wisdom of the time and heavily derided, have been proved right. The principal issue was then as it is now, that of parliamentary sovereignty. Section 2 of the EEC Act 1972 provides that where UK law is in conflict with European law, then the latter shall prevail. The Act only scraped through by eight votes, and then only by Edward Heath threatening to call a general election if he did not get his way. The Conservative government was unpopular at the time and many backbenchers in marginal seats were rather nervous. The whole affair was a shameful blot on the noble history of the British parliament.

I'm of the opinion that the EU the worst decision that was ever done by the UK government, the country should have had the choice & there should have been a vote, but again the Government think that WE CANNOT THINK for ourselves, Stuff the EU we lived before we joined it.
Most people remember Enoch Powell for his "Rivers of Blood" speech, but I remember him for his long-standing battle in defence of British sovereignty.
Enoch Powell, now there's a role model and no mistaking it.
I'm pro EU and no we shouldn't remove ourselves from it because it will benefit us long term far more than it will harm us.
Gah- sorry my daughter is signed in on my computer- this is NOX not her lol.
That's better I'm my normal macho self now ;-)

I agree with your first sentence (although I fear you may have been somewhat ironic) but not your second.
I would vote to leave as things are now.
Enoch Powell is seriously a hero of yours? Fair play not many people would have the bottle to own up to that.
Pro European here to too. Although it has become too top heavy and nothing like the common market we signed up to .Far too many old bureaucratic windbags have jumped on the gravy train over the years and it needs weeding out .
Without being in the EU we'll sink into the North Sea never to be seen again and it's no use relying on our American cousins .
We are no longer an Empire and can't rely on trade with countries like India and China .We've sent no end of jobs to India to start with .The only thing we seem to be able to export to China is our rubbish .
