Look at the responses - 'the humilation I felt', 'the indignity of a pat down search, all to ensure security staff aren't seen as racist.

Should airport security focus their efforts exclusively on black and Muslim travellers? Should white travellers queue in a separate lane to everyone else? s

No but I do think we should apply some sort of inverse logic along the Billy Connolly line. If you want to work in airport security you should be automatically excluded from doing so. The article makes valid points. I too have witnesed these bullies enjoying themselves humiliating pensioners etc. Given a little power these mini Hitlers just love to use it. How the real terrorists must p!ss themselves over what we do to ourselves.

I tell you sherrard the airports are full of people who are having a whale of a time bullying passangers. The Terrorist attacks that have happened are just the excuse they wanted, they can now do what they like in the name of "security".

No, of course airport security shouldn't focus on black and Muslim travellers. Terrorists come in all flavours. I often set the alarm off and the subsequent search doesn't bother me in the least. It wouldn't bother me if I were hauled out of the queue to be searched either. I've never thought of it as bullying - just security measures - and I have no complaints about that at all. All the staff I've encountered have always been polite and quite friendly.

Do white muslim terrorists exist? Your idea of separate queues is a good one especially at airport peak arrival times.

This will help the muslim travellers as their queues will be shorter.

Another suggestion would be have the checks at the departure airport then they could sail straight through at Heathrow, Not so stupid as it sounds as immigration officers were on the Gare du Nord platform in Paris before you got on the Eurotunnel train.

I'm white and not a criminal,a female,I was frisked down as you say on two occasions.This do'es not bother me I have gotten over the embarressment of it all.I am not muslim but just because you are white do'es not mean that you could not be muslim.Muslim is a religeon not a colour.

I addressed this earlier, it has nothing to do with it being impossible to be white and a criminal, you are just trying to make this into a race issue against blacks.

You are conveniently overlooking the real concerns, that being that when border officials have certain information about non white criminals, whites are unnecessarily searched so officials cannot be accused of being racist.

If the police are seeking out young male white criminal, elderly white males or young or elderly white females should not be expected to be stopped and questioned by the police.

Likewise no black person young or old, male or female should not be stopped, especially just to make it appear that the police are not racist towards whites.

That is ridiculous, would you equally in be in agreement, if they were looking out for a white criminal, but they were stopping blacks, just in case they may be the ones they knew nothing about or they had been deliberately misinformed?
