Never pdq1. Stop worrying, if it does worry you (no idea why it should). The story is mostly about Hispanics. We have very few Hispanics. What, in the figures for blacks, African-Americans, in the US, makes you think that blacks will ever outnumber the rest of us in the UK?

Call them what you will. We are talking about non whites. Put plainly white births will be outnumbered within most of our lifetimes. If you are interested in demography it matters a lot to see how Britain has evolved in our recent history.

Yes Jack, and the Celts, Danes and Anglo-Saxons must have been 'pissed off' by their new neighbours here. Bet they rushed to whoever could write and said they were interested in demography and would he write that.

If the government is worried about colour why shouldn't us mortals also be concerned. You can't fill out a form nowadays where they bracket you into about 15 races. Even the census gets into the act. It is only the deny'ers who wish to brush it under the carpet as though it doesn't matter. It does matter!

Why does including questions about race (or religion) mean the government is "worried" about colour ? It's a census. What do you think the "worried" government is going to do with this information? Why do you think it wants it? Because it wants to introduce eugenics? Because it wants to know how many people might be attacked by racists? Or by anti-semites? Or some other reason? What?

What's your answer about mixed race children? Do you have concerns about more mixed race couples ? Then what of the offspring? Do you have concerns about their increase less than you do about black ones'?
