Its a dead cert the yanks will try and have him extradited from Sweden and then he will probably be in more danger than qatada is in jordan
He needs to get the same lawyers and hopefully he will delay it years
At least whilst he stays here he isnt costing us thousands upon thousands in benefits !

And given what we know about how prisoners have been treated in Guantanamo Bay - tortured, no legal advice, no charges - it seems really scary that our government if happy to just ship people off there. No matter how innocent you are, it must be terrifying!
You cannot really compare the two.
Assenge case was a legal arguement. Whether the Swedish prosecutor who made the extradition request was a competent “judicial authority” under the terms of the European Extradition Treaty. It was always likely that the UK Courts would find they were. After that, there is not much more room for manoeuvre. The Qatada case is totally different.

We can only hope that he can invoke all the time and money wasting procedures that the awful posturing muslim did. That may highlight once and for all what a ridiculous creation is the ECHR. The government of the United Kingdon govern this nation not a bunch of pseudo legitimate so called "judges" of the ECHR, the majority of which can hardly claim to originate from democratic nations themselves. Lets get out of everything to do with europe and establish self government finally.
I am ashamed to live in a country that doesn't have the guts to get shut of Qatada. I don't like being a laughing stock and making a bunch of solicitors rich.
What would Churchill have done? It wouldn't have taken years, and we wouldn't have supported him at taxpayers expense.
Through Traitors Gate into the Tower of London, no fuss.
