A third of 16-23 year olds don't know it comes from pigs.

A third don't know where milk comes from and...and...only two thirds knew that eggs came from chilckens.

Not so much a question as a 'sheesh' and a self administered slap to the forehead:

How can this be?

Don't kids watch Delia?

If Delia's dishes are anything to go by, she doesn't know either.
Her Pork and Prunes gummed up the sewerage system of Brussels for days, many years ago.
Wasn't there some survey fairly recently where it was discovered that a lot of children didn't know what a real potato was?
It's nonsense.
I have just asked my 6 year old where bacon, eggs and milk come from, it was no surprise to hear him answer all three correctly.
Waitrose, then?
Blimey, Mick, there's a new career for you as one of those election straw pollers
Lol...I've just asked my son as well. He 'obviously' knew all three and more...
I just can not take this stuff seriously.
My young un as also told me the answer to the butter question and threw in that cheese also comes from cows.
Even goats cheese :0)
My son mentioned hens eggs, duck eggs, and quails eggs...

I think he's been watching too much Delia..
Eggs come from crocodiles
16 - 23 year-olds were asked those questions. The results show that over a third were taking the Fosters.
Nobody watches Delia.

You might use her cook books ... but you can't "watch" her.

You can watch Nigella, Jamie, Raymond, Rick, Marco, etc ...

But Delia is just ... SO ... DULL ... !
^ When did Fosters become another word for urine ^ ? Anyway, you know what word was censored .
... Si, Dave ... they're watchable, too.
the thing with Nigella etc is that "watch" is all they do. They'd never learn from her about platypus eggs.
jno, they might if they were budding David Attenborough's
Nigella ... dumplings ... mmmmm
