Sandy's comment reminds me of the late Tyneside comedian Bobby Thompson, reminiscing about the war. When the air raid siren sounded he shouted to his wife to hurry to the air raid shelter. His wife replied, "Hang on, I haven't got my teeth in", to which Bobby replied,"for God's sake, woman, they're dropping bombs, not pork pies!"
