Even though the 'man in the street' knew this anyway, Ed Milliband will be saying in a speech that the last Labour Government were wrong on immigration.

Call me cynical but I'd say he's had the results of some focus groups studies.

most recent poll results are

YouGov/Sun – CON 33, LAB 43, LD 8, UKIP 8

He smells blood and is seeking to neutralise a vulnerable area ahead of the next election
He'll say anything to win an election....The thought of this wimp as Prime Minister fills me with dread!
Labour ruined this country and that's a fact.
Labours immigration policy will always be....

open the door and let them in...
Politicians - can't trust them they insist in pretending their opinions are facts
Well many people (including me) have been shouting it from the rooftops for years.

Those of us who live in, or near, cities affected by mass immigration (like me who lives near Birmingham) have seen the disasterous effects of immigration.

Areas where almost 100% of the poplulation are "Asian", schools where nearly 100% of the children are "non-white" (Asian, black, chinese etc), areas where ethnic gangs go round shooting anyone and everyone, areas where 30% of the cars are not insured,

There are also areas ruined by "ethnic" groups moving in and not caring at all about looking after their shops or houses (dragging the area down and causing "white flight" where people rush to get out before their house value drops too much).

It really annoys me that we put so little value on the benefit of living in this country that we let anyone in, even if they cant speak English or offer no skills.

Mass immigration has ruined much of this country.
interview with a Mail reader

As a follow on to my append above.

I live in a fairly nice suburb of Solihull, most people are white "middle class", where people look after their houses and gardens. But many Asians are now starting to move out of Birmingham into my area.

Just down the road from me a family of Asians moved in a year or so back. They run some sort of delivery service and have three large white vans that they park on the drive and in the road. These vans are awful, filthy and covered in rust.

They recently had an extension built (by Asian "builders - I use the term loosely). This was built out of brieze block that has never been finsihed off (it looks like something from a shanty town), and they have never finished off the mains wiring (they have electricity cables coming OUT of various windows and going into other parts of the house - like the loft - from the outside).

Their front "garden" is now full of rubbish from when the builders were there (months ago) but no attempt has been made to tidy it up.

The house looks AFWFUL and really brings the road and area down.

Others Asians are moving in here and and there and many locals are getting scared the area will become another "Sparkhill" (an awful area in Birmingham totally ruined by the arrival of Asians).

My wife wants to stay here as her sister lives round the corner, but if I had my way we would move out before it is too late and we are last "whites" in the streets (as happened to her mother who lived in Sparkhill where she went from no Asians in the street to her mother being almost the last white person in the street).

Her mother stayed there until one night she woke up in the middle of the night to find a black man in her room threatening her and asking where her handbag and money were.

As soon as that happened my wife moved her out into a care home. The house is now owned by Asians.

Sometimes it could make me cry what we have done to this country.
VHG, I dont know why you are telling us that story. We all know that immigration creates ghettos and ghettos become violent. JTP and his ilk actually like this and want it. The violence and discontent is pure postmarxism.

Labour wanted immigration to create political tension, as one of Labour's inner circle revealed of Cabinet discussions:

"...mass immigration was the way that the Government was going to make the UK truly multicultural. I remember coming away from some discussions with the clear sense that the policy was intended – even if this wasn't its main purpose – to rub the Right's nose in diversity.."

http://www.telegraph....s-former-adviser.html

JTP and other postmarxists wanted this to happen so that they could shout "racist" at any and every political discussion. See The roots of New Labour at: http://pol-check.blog...ts-of-new-labour.html

Most of the people who vote labour are just voting tribally and the party has been able to truly take the p*ss out of these idiots.

Why people do not "get" the fact that Marxism and Postmarxism are subversive is beyond me. They put in place policies that are designed to create revolutionary tension: ie: to wreck the place.

Try listenibg to milliband. He has told you why it is labours dault. They did not restrict the numbers coming like other countries. Nice try to blame it on the Tories but it wont was as they have not been in power for msny years.
Have they not been in office for nearly 2 years?
BTW, what sane person would vote labour again? They are really lucky that most journalists are poststructuralists - the next best thing to postmarxists - see: http://pol-check.blog...oststructuralism.html
sandyRoe, the labour policy towards immigration has permanently changed the country, creating an overpopulation blip that will overcrowd and create polarization for a century or more. It was a work of postmarxist genius.
johnysid I accept a lot of what you say but what is the present Tory government doing about it. Each time something comes up on immigration
such as deporting illegals this government rolls over and bows down to the EU. I don't care who was /is to blame, times change and with it must our politicians. The treaty Maggie signed is nothing like the Europe of today and when E
2 years is plenty enough time to have made a start at sorting out this debacle. Labour may have started the ball rolling but the tories have done nothing to sort it out. Both parties have to take their share of the blame for this and perhaps if they spent more time trying to sort out the country's problems and less time b1tching about each other we would all be in a better state.
most journalists are poststructuralists

an amusing thought - do you know most journalists?
cont and when Europe went against our interests she forced them to change and as you know got back a large chunk of our contribution which Blair largely gave away again. Cameron is all talk and no substance.
From my earlier post on the subject.

rojash

/// Sorry AOG, but that graph is not evidence that mass immigration was introduced by a Labour government. ///

I wonder what rojash will think of this thread when he reads it?
Having read VHG's moving post on this mass Immigration problem, it seems a far cry from jake-the-peg's walk in the wide expanses of the Lincolnshire country side.(see my earlier post)

At one time I seemed to be all on my own regarding my views on mass immigration, but it now seems that we are getting more AnswerBankers on board who are prepared to speak out about this problem.
jno: "do you know most journalists?".

Yes, of course I know their work and modern journalism is lazily post structuralist. Take immigration, the average story is racists vs antiracists or take todays debate over school exams "equality" versus "on the scrapheap". They are nasty poststructuralists, they make no attempt to discuss issues and just polarize every discussion.
The Last Labour Government's problem was that they had a booming growing economy which attracted many European migrant workers.

I don't think we will see a booming growing economy for a long while under the present lot.

Mr Cameron promised to cut immigration from the hundreds of thousands to the tens of thousands. He has gone all quiet on that promise lately, I wonder how he is doing with it
