Should siblings be allowed to enter into civil partnerships?

A point raised by Anne Widdecombe when CPs were introduced. She felt she couldn't vote for CPs as it excluded siblings.

Lord Tebbit has reiterated the unfairness of CPs in this regard.

Does he have a point? Should CPs be open to close relatives, as described in the following article?

In the case of siblings sharing a house that they jointly own I think a lawyer can set up a trust fund that owns the house in their names, so that if one dies before the other inheritance tax can be 'held over' until the last one dies. This avoids the house having to be sold on the first death, but not many are aware of it or bother to do it.

Eddie, the Mormon church no longer condones polygamy. It long ago declared that the law of the land should be observed. Having said that, some of the breakaway groups that have disassociated themselves from the main church still practise it.
