There have been several instances were wedding gathering have been hit by friendly fire from aircraft that are supposed to be on their side. But the two are completely different, one is deliberate killing and the other an accident cause by negligence.
One the whole, Afghanistan is a better place now than it was under the Taliban for most Afghans. Not sure that was our mission 11 years ago, or whether our sacrifices have been worth it, but that is the situation.

Some on here have commented on a number of occasions about our involvement, past and present, having caused more problems for the people of the country. Notably Afghanistan, seeing as we have been there before, as had the Russians, and no one has come out with any credibility, only casualties on all sides.

I blame it on the West.
Either you believe the whole world must be connected and break down borders and tariffs or you dont. If you want the free movement of materials and labour you will need to put "policing operations" into areas that do not play by your rules.
If you want sustainable development and people to have the dignity of their own beliefs and cultures you will oppose globalisation and leave the Afghans alone.
