It matters not whether they win or lose, the tears run down their cheeks, this is a new phenomenon it seems, because I can never remember it happening on such occasions in the past.
Since the death of Princess Di the nation seems to have become more emotional, why is this?

/// Would take a BNP bye election win to do that. ///
If you can't address the question, why do you try and side-track it by making insulting and completely untrue personal comments?
Others have been suspended for less.
May I remind you of the rules?

Seems like it isn't only the contestants who are getting over emotional.
/// Yesterday viewers questioned the over-exuberance and urged reporters to calm down. The backlash comes after John Inverdale was in tears as he consoled two British rowers on Saturday who just missed out on gold. ///

AOG, Gromit's obviously joking. Well, I laughed anyway. Where's your sense of humour?
It's probably a good thing that people are able to express their emotions more freely these days. I think quite of lot of psychological damage has been done in the past by expectation and enforcement of the 'stiff upper lip'. I just wish the audiences on many television programmes wouldn't express their emotions quite so freely with all that silly hysterical shouting and screaming!

For goodness sake AOG! With what is finally happening in your country after all you`ve been through let`s bloody well celebrate it with as much emotion and enthusiasm as we want.
These displays of tears are mostly tears of joy. Can you not for once be happy.....really really happy for all that`s happening ....the joy we are sharing?
Grrrrrr,
A quite angry Gness who will soon be jumping for joy and sodding well crying!!!!!

I don't know why, they took up a sport, when young with a dream to participate in the olympics, they, their families and friends make huge personal sacrifices to make them international class competitors.
Every minute they spend in pain they are motivated by the Olympics, the early mornings, late nights training. The none existant social life, the absent partners that leave because they put their sport first.
Finaly after all those years of pain, sacrifice and self denial they achieve their dream. Nope no idea why they cry.

What like the 'EMOTION' shown in the lives of those who took part in the riots a year ago?
/// we wouldn't be so mucked up as a country. ///
Our generation saved the country, it is some of those who have followed that have 'mucked' the country up.
