did you watch the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, not sure that those watching really think the NHS is the best of the best, as Danny Boyle seems to think.
I did watch it em.........but didn't approve of the exploitation of the NHS.....but apparently it opened the door to overseas contracts which was discussed on AB. with mixed views.
I know we have discussed this before, both as patients and looking after people who have had to access the NHS, and in many of my recent experiences say the last 10 years, they have been quite poor. People now are commodities, shunt them in and shunt them out, often leaving you bewildered and also often back in hospital, because the illness has not been sorted out from the start, so it's not cost effective.
em.....maybe! maybe!..............you know my feelings em.
I feel that the people of the UK are "molly coddled" as far as healthcare is concerned and should learn to do more for themselves and not to rely on unrealistic expectations from the NHS which can never be totally delivered.
i do see that, but it's what people expect isn't it? What is going to happen when our population gets a lot older, and the younger people coming along haven't managed to pay much into the pot, there is going to be a massive shortfall of funds.
em10.......exactly.....that situation has been developing since the inception of the NHS.......explosion of population ......surge in advances in medicine .....in the last 50 years.
em....just before you go....have you noticed that the ED is introducing "badges" for proficiency etc and already the @rse lickers of CB are dancing around the flagpole.
em....take a look at some of those replies.........the sooner the all get their badge of worthiness, the sooner we can settle down to normal AB (whatever that is?)
