How bizarre. What did they say, Ann? I wonder what's expected to come to light now.

But my thoughts are all for those poor little girls right now.

We only heard the end of a radio news report just now but its beginning to get on news websites. How sad for those two little girls, poor little things.

Apparently a letter was found yesterday with threats against his brother.
The conspiracy theorists will be gathering soon. Before the day is out I bed there's a claim that it was a "hit" by a US or Israeli covert team because the dead man was plotting revenge for Saddam's death.
Ye gods - the cheese eating surrender monkeys will go bonkers if it turns out to have been the septics ....
Getting more interesting. As far as the conspiracy theorist comment is concerned made by McMouse, I would argue that plenty conspire against believing anything from what is put in front of them.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the US are involved or that it was the brother. To disbelieve something because it is 'outside of the box' is very narrow minded.
Judging by the amount of police and others in the pics it cant be anything of any real consequence.

The more important the less police etc will attend, you know how it is.

It was obvious from the first news reports of the killings that this was no "normal" killing, as soon as his nationality was made public and his profession/business alarm bells were ringing.

We probably wont get to hear the full story on this, you can bet your bottom dollar the secret services French and British are all over it .

You may well be right, baz
only a rumour at the moment but

"Mr al-Hilli, an engineer who left Saddam Hussein's Iraq in the 1970s, was known to the security services and was put under surveillance by Metropolitan Police Special Branch during the Iraq war."
What I can't understand about this case is the fact that the French police have come over here to investigate this family.

I can never remember another case were this has happened, yes our police have gone over to a foreign country when a British national has been murdered, but never the other way round.

Another strange thing, it was reported that the police had spent nearly all day in a shed and using power tools trying to open the family's safe.

Why didn't they bring in a professional Lock-Smith?
