What's this all about?

Bomb Sqad were called this morning to Claygate, neighbouring houses and media cleared, something in the shed.

How weird - and linked? The plot thickens..... News from Annecy was that all the bullets came from the same weapon; they haven't said what sort yet.

The Mossad hit squads do have to observe a certain protocol: before dispatching a bullet into the head of the victim they are required to whisper in his ear, "Shalom!"

doesn't still look like a professional hit. I reckon this will be another case which will go unsolved, poor family. i hope that nothing happens to the two little girls.

The Chinese like to get you on your knees, gun to the back of the neck, let you feel the barrel and then "bang".

If it is a prison execution, the family are then charged for the bullet, so deliciously nice and humane.

Sqad will love this thread :) Perhaps the drugs squad will get him first for handing out too many Ibuprofen and getting us ABers high on the stuff!

Sqad is the the most prolific drug dealer on the net; why should some people have to struggle by on heroin, weed, coke and crystal meth when Sqad is offering Ibuprofen to all and sundry!

The hitman made sure the victims couldn't speak afterwards after putting 2 bullets into each of them to make sure. If one of the adults survived they would almost certainly have named the person behind it if not the gunman himself. That surely points the finger to someone in the family with revenge in mind or who would benefit financially. Someone has already been identified in this category so I suppose its just getting some proof.

All this is just wild speculation though isn't it? Not all that helpful, and as pdqs own posts show, can veer wildly from assertions of a professional hit squad taking down a potential terrorist to a hit organised or participated in by family members over a family feud. And interesting though it might be to indulge in such flights of fancy, all it does is obscure the tragedy of a family slaughtered, and very young kids orphaned in a second.

The level of speculation reminds me a lot of the sad case of the murder of Joanna Yates, and the absolutely scandalous misbehaviour of the media in naming the landlord and subsequent character assassination of Christopher Jeffries..............

What I can't understand about this case is the fact that the French police have come over here to investigate this family.

I can never remember another case were this has happened, yes our police have gone over to a foreign country when a British national has been murdered, but never the other way round.

Another strange thing, it was reported that the police had spent nearly all day in a shed and using power tools trying to open the family's safe.

Why didn't they bring in a professional Lock-Smith?

Well awaiting more facts and evidence is keeping your options open - not speculative claims one second and a contradictory claim 30 seconds later :)

And if you said Chris Jeffries was innocent at the time, good for you - but that wasn't my point - my point was that wild speculation fuelled by the irresponsible media lead to a witch hunt and character defamation of him - and the atmosphere surrounding this case reminds me of that same atmosphere.....
