This may just be a higher form of nimbyism on the part of people living in the street alreay; but I think I'd take the risk seriously if I were German.

i think there is something good about 'repurposing' it rather than destroying it - hitler destroyed enough in his life... creating something positive out of a negative would sort of be testament to how the world has changed since his time.
destroying a perfectly good building just for this reason is ridiculous - its not like it was nazi headquarters and the place that lot of atrocities and horrors happened - it was just a place a baby was born in!
it will still be the place he was born regardless what building stands there...
anyone who wants to view it that way will just view it as 'the site where the building that hitler was born used to stand'
