The court case is taking place today but at each step his lawyers have outwitted the government.

If he loses his case today is there a plane stationed on the runway so he can be whisked to the US without any more delays?

Lawyers, like most, will take a profit if they can see one. Whether they can depends on what field they're operating in. Immigration law is one particularly fertile field. I hope so. Then we might see an end to the relentless and pointless Abu Hamza posts.
why are they pointless posts ?
If he loses the case , will. court costs be be awarded against him.???
No. And even if they were, he has no money. He and his family live on benefits.
Are we sure he has no money? Wasn't there some crookedness about 'right to buy' houses?
So surprise surprise - Abu Hamza now claims that he is suffering from mental health issues. Is that an admission that he is a nutter?

Thought so!
Are these lawyers having fun?

Why are they bothering, when they know they are wasting government funds?
How much has this nonsense cost?
Just stick him on a plane For Funks Sake.
Wonder why the UK cannot follow the methods of Australia. Their authorities don't mess about with undesirables - they are out of the country the same day.
no
I dont think any country ponces about so much as the UK.

Driven by scum lawyers soaking the taxpayer for millions and hand wringing liberals bleating about criminals 'ooman rights we have become the laughing stockl of the world.

What a shame for a once proud nation.

Crime ; traditionally the most money is made by having the client plead guilty to something thus ending a case, listed for trial, on the first day (which may be good news for the public, but not ideal), a pretty desperate way of increasing income.

Hamza's case shows two things. The first is that opportunities arise in this field to make a lot of money from the public purse from cases with no real merit. The second is that there are delays built into the system which are indefensible. Both are clearly wrong, and somewhat linked in that delay gives opportunity for more costed time to be added to the bill. And he can lodge some sort of appeal even if deterred in his instant application, no doubt.
