It did "fall down" quite tidily. None of that messy business where the bit that's "on fire" falls down first.

does make you think
Find the BBC Horizon episode that explains it all without resorting to conspiracy theories.
That looked like a really tasty apple.
If two of the biggest buildings in the world collapse right next to you, it's no surprise if your structure is fatally undermined.

There was no conspiracy. You couldn't plan such a thing.
I was informed that the two towers were built to withstand being hit by aircraft that had flown across the atlantic and would therefore be low on fuel, this was not the case with the planes that crashed.

//it's no surprise if your structure is fatally undermined. //

Luckily ... Tower 7 was the ONLY nearby building that was structurally undermined!

Unluckily, Tower 7 housed the US anti terrorist security records relating to the Twin Towers. So when Tower 7 "fell down", the records showing who knew what before 9/11 were destroyed.

Inconvenient, that.
So what do you think was the conspracy, JJ?

It's as much rubbish as the people who say they never landed on the moon.

But VERY VERY VERY luckily, on the morning of 9/11, Tower 7 had planned a fire drill.

So when the Twin Towers were hit, and Tower 7 "fell down", there was nobody in it.

That was SOOOOOOOO lucky.

Shame about those intelligence records, though.

Hopkirk ...

It is at least possible that the security services knew about the 9/11 plot and, rather than prevent it, chose to exploit it in order to justify the invasion that they had already planned (along with Tony B), but had been advised that there was no legal basis for it.

I think that if everyone blandly accepts the official story, and turns a blind eye to some odd inconsistencies, then we are betraying all the people who lost their lives on 9/11, in Iraq, and in Afghanistan.

Although, I keep forgetting ... gorernments never lie, do they.
What an absolute load of tosh.

Do you seriously think that George Bush and Tony Blair colluded in the murder of thousands (and it could easily have been twice or three times the number killed), just so they could have an excuse for an invasion?
A few weeks ago someone on AB said how they were due to be in a meeting at the top of the Twin towers on that fateful day but something happened and he missed it. Granger 99 I think it was

You really do trust political leaders, don't you, Hoppy.

That's nice, actually. There are too many cynical old dragons like me who think that political leaders can be self serving.

Lucky in what respect?

Dave.
not exactly lucky for the 3,000 odd who lost their lives, and no i don't always trust goverments, politicians, but neither do i think that the likes of Bush and Blair would do what you are suggesting.

MT ... when Tower 7 fell down, it was empty, and none of the occupants were killed.

Do you need me to clarify why that was lucky ????

em ... no, they wouldn't. They would never sacrifice lives.

LOL LOL .... so they were prepared to kill people in the others towers but not tower 7.

Yes please clarify.....
what about the people on the ground, and the police, fire service.
When Tower 7 fell it was empty.

I suspect it was not due to a fire drill, but more to do with the fact that two jets had been deliberately crashed into neighbouring skyscrapers.

I somehow doubt if the fire drill would have been performed in such circumstances.
