A few more have come forward with statements.
Oh right, I watch Sky news.
is this another Savile thing? I should be surprised if anyone at the BBC turns out to have been implicated, except perhaps in terms of lax oversight.

Why beat about the bush.
The people who made those decisions all those years ago probably aren't there now. - and the toilet rolls get paid for from the licence fee....
I often look at what you might call "alternative news" websites - they have their own political agenda - and they've been naming Saville for years , while he was very much alive . I thought that they were just seeking publicity for themselves
but he never sued them .
Now that this has come out I'm wondering if (and it's a very big "if") the other things they were alleging are correct , this could be the tip of an iceberg with not only Saville involved .
well that was succinct.
if you mean about this vile story of Jimmy Savile, i expect some will be if that is what you meant.
Em , I'll tell you the website and you can see for yourself - it was David Icke's website and he's been naming Saville for years .
eek icke.
Icke very much has his own political agenda . the reason I go to his website is that his gives links to some very interesting news stories worldwide (I'm not particularly into his attacks on celebrities) .
i think he is a mad as a box of frogs.
Lets not forget the £40m he made for charity. He may have left many with unforgettable memories with his groping but they are still alive and those he has help saved will probably far outnumber these.
the charities are distancing themselves with this man.
That's a good point pdq 1 . He did a lot of work for charity .
not if the reason he did it was self promotion, to keep himself in the public eye, so he could carry on doing these sorts of things.
And so he had access to vulnerable kids
i do not think Savilles actions can be excused or ameliorated by the fact that he raised money for charity - which, in its own way, provided more opportunities for self promotion.

This is a man who is described as "a predatory sex offender who abused girls on a national scale". You do not mitigate this by doing some charidee
