Tonyav, did you, well bully for you, however many did not, and some are coming around to the way of thinking that she did a lot of good as PM.
You see some of us have long memories, and find ourselves wondering at the Labour parties record of stuffing up the economy, and not just recently.
Sorry em, but I can't agree with you about Maggie, I have worked in Industry all my working life and a union member and it appeared to me that she set out to destroy unions from having any power at whatever cost, the coal miner's as an example.
It wasn't just the unions she 'smashed'. It was whole communities. Nothing was put in place to replace the losses and this resulted in areas of real deprivation.

serious question:
if the tories had approached those 'communities' and told them the industry they relied on had had its day and they now needed to work together on putting into place 'replacements'; would there have been cooperation or would the unions have just resisted anyway?
I wouldn't wish her dead but I won't shed any tears when she does go and I'll never forgive her for what she did to the workers of this country, she might of thought she was breaking the power of the unions but what she really broke was the industrial backbone of Britain.
Well said paddywack. I don't think anyone has actually wished her dead. It's just that some of us will be glad to see the back of her when she does go.
