American election

Morning all
Am I the only person who is fed up with the news coverage given to the Presidential election ? Do the American media give as much importance to our elections ? The money that the BBC spend sending Bill Turnbull and Huw Edwards out to the US is, in my opinion, wasted - they already have journos out there ! Soory to be a kiljoy, but that's me !

It was inevitable that Obama would win, after all Mitt Romney hit the nail on the head when he said a few months ago that half the country would support Barack Obama because they depend on the government for all or part of their income. Exactly the same situation exists in this country

Except that many of those 47% that Romney referred to would actually be natural republican supporters. And it was a crass comment anyway, not reflective of the true picture, as Romney himself later admitted.
