Dont panic, dont panic. They dont like it up em!
Lovely innocent comedy. No filthy mouths. Sad to see him go.
When I was VERY young I used to live in Putney and I used to do "bob a job" with the scouts.

Clive Dunn lived in some flats in Putney, and I used to knock on his door for a "bob a job".

Of course he would not let me in his flat to do any job, but he gave me a "bob" anyway and signed the card to say I had done some work for him.

He was a lovely man.

Of course he will always be remembered for Dads Army but did loads of other things such as Handcock.

Here is his list of roles

Night night Grandad ♥
Whoops. not "Handcock" but "Hancock".

Tony Hancocks Half Hour
Permission to speak, that is sad news. May he rest in peace.
Very sad, and interesting how he has approached, and indeed passed the age of the charater he played so memorably in Dad's Army.

Speaking as a grandad of four, I'm not too impressed with the message and image that his popular song sent out, but it is indeed sad that he has passed.
Just seen this on the news, I remember singing grandad to my grandad when I was a little girl. RIP Clive.
Bless him ,92 ..a good age .I loved Dad's Army and still watch them from time to time .Not many of them left now .
Sad News, RIP.
