@jno I sympathise with him to some extent over the timing, but you cannot use that as an excuse in such a high profile series of incidents.

Argo. I've no idea. But Patten certainly illustrates what I meant.
There's thousands of these very well paid jobs which are seen as a reward, or worse a bribe.
99 times out of a 100 they keep a very low profile & keep pocketing public money. When a crisis shines a spotlight on them they are shown up for what they are.
Why hasn't Patten been seen to be active through this sorry business.

So now they'll go back to their "shortlist" of applicants,the previous one cant be out of date, and theyll pick the runner up , so now the Blatantly Biased Corp will get the "2nd best" person for the job.
and no doubt all the plebs that are paying taxes to keep the BBC in the style theyve been accustomed to (spending your money with gay abandon) will now be donating towards a generous goodbye payoff....or will he walk with the bare minimum (54 days he lasted) as it would seem that he hasnt even got through a probationary period which most people have to.
