Way too early for me.
Yes kate, it is early but I bet there not the first.
When's Thanksgiving? It might be something connected with that? Maybe?

maybe its for thanksgiving, americans celebrate that big time do they not
4th Thursday in November in US
Could be, kate. Thanks giving is in November.
Saw two last night as dusk came down.
In the Southampton area
some up already near me and have been for a while. its way to early !
No. Christmas trees have nothing to do with Thanksgiving in the States. The people putting up the tree are just premature tree erectors.
Ermmm...they've more than likely picked up the British habit of putting it up early ( ;-)) )
The Christmas season 'traditionally' does not start over there until after Thanksgiving.
I've seen a few up around here-and they are not Americans.
My old Gran always reckoned up on the 6th December and down on the 6th January.
Yep, both American and Canadian Thanksgiving both gone already.

I was having Sunday lunch in a Wetherspoons yesterday being entertained by some of the staff trying to put up a huge Christmas Tree with lots of separate branches. They have had one in our work local for weeks to advertise Christmas bookings!
I love christmas, the bright lights, the christmas trees, snow (if we get any) the whole christmas dinner, decorations and family.
My! - What big eyes you've got!
it's 22nd November US thanksgiving day ,canada was 8th october
Me too though it seems more drawn out now though as everything has been around so long it doesn't seem so special in a way than everything just going all Christmassy right before Christmas.
"...just premature tree erectors."

Is that a sexual euphemism?
I saw my first one today.
And heard the flippin' Pogues playing in a shopping centre.
Don't be gobsmacked ! Be amazed or surprised ? I don't believe it !
