Why hasn't the tragic and sad disappearance of this little girl been given the vast media coverage that the disappearance of Madeleine McCann gained?

I don't know, surely the same of coverage should be given. I can't image what the family are going through.
Someone has been charged with her murder haven't they? They must know she's dead unlike Madeleine. It is certainly a very tragic case.
I can find no news stories since early October, for what has happened to Mark Bridger, the man accused of her murder.
There is still a hunt for Madeleine, but I fear the hunt has been called off for April. :(

Also I think the McCann parents did much to keep it in the public eye where as April's parent don't have the means.
The McCanns have campaigned to keep Madeleine's disappearance in the news.
Bridger is still in custody awaiting trial, which I think is in January. I agree that it's the McCann's who have kept Madeleine in the public eye.
Maidup, the hunt hasn't been called off. This is from the link posted.

>> Dyfed Powys Police said they have 16 search teams out every Monday to Friday looking for the girl.
The operation, this week included around 130 officers, from Scotland, Northern Ireland and England as well as Wales.
A spokesman said: 'We will continue searching as long as we have viable lines of inquiry.
'We are committed to doing all we can to bring the search operation to a successful conclusion.' <<
was she abducted, as the headline says?
There must be strong evidence enough to suggest that April was murdered and that her body was disposed of by water, which is why no remains have been found. No such evidence appears to exist int the Maddie case.
^^ Aww that's good news ladybirder, sorry I didn't read the whole story on the link.
Because they have a man awaiting trial, the news media are restricted about what they are allowed to report for fear of prejudicing a trial and the guilty escaping justice because of that.

As an avid Daily Mail reader, you may remember that the murderer Levi Bellingfield could have escaped justice for the murder of Milly Dowler because the Mail Prejudiced the trial.

The disappearance of Maddie McCann was a bigger news story, because of the elements that went to make up the story. Parents out at a restaurant, children left alone (albeit briefly), the complete lack of any physical evidence, and the fact that to this day, no-one has been charged - or even arrested - makes it a bigger story.

Also, as has been pointed out, the McCanns themselves kept the story in the papers.

A man has been charged, therefore the matter is sub judice. Perhaps that is why the media are quiet about it.
I suspect that the media have learned from recent other events
Hopefully, boxtops. Anything reported could prejudice a fair trial.
Well they have a suspect who goes on trial in janruary, the police are still following viable leads...apart from putting a have you seen this girl notice in, what exactly are the newspapers supposed to do, especially as the general consensus is that sadly that she is no longer alive.

Really le chat! Is he about to plead guilty? I'm not sure how long a body normally takes to compose but are we just looking for a skeleton assuming she has been killed? Sad really!
Decompose obviously.....sitting at a keyboard makes you dyslexic.
