You have to laugh. It's a bit like: "Police Station burgled!"
I remember reading a newspaper report, about last year's floods. It said that a pump, which had been specially installed to deal with flood water, had been installed below flood level, so that (I bet you're ahead of me already) when the area flooded, the pump was immediately put out of action.
How do you know which locker belonged to the North Berwick female firefighter?

Just look for the one with 20 pairs of fire boots under it........and she loved to wear hose at the same time.
History is littered with such anecdotes. My favourites come from the grim world of capital punishment, when one hangman, eager to impress with his quickness and efficiency, pulled the lever too early and sent his assistant through the trap before he had finished tying the prisoner's legs. Also the hangman who turned up so drunk that he attempted to hang the chaplain attending the prisoner.
Well they was supposed to close it down, anyway. Cuts!
