You could say that about any baby then ymg, all taxpayers contribute to child benefit.
Johnny37 What kind of a comment is this to make.... "She is so thin I dont think she can conceive naturally and she will have doctors and nutiritionists on standby 24/7 for the next nine months" how very ignorant of you!!! I am as thin as Kate and I conceived naturally, didn't have Doctors or Nutritionists on standyby 24/7 and my daughter is now 10 and very healthy! Don't be so judgmental.
Prudie, child benefit replaced tax breaks so the main carer of the child received the benefit. So in theory the tax payers are not paying.
My opinion - nice happy news - let's just enjoy that for a change!
I picked the Mail off the mat this morning, saw the ' Baby Special' flash on the front, removed the Coffee Break pages and stuck the rest in the bin!
I'm emigrating for the duration!

Chill out - its nice to have a bit of good news for a change!
A complete stranger is pregnant,......Good News?????
@johnny37 - LOL! what are you trying to say -? If she's pregnant then shes obviously already conceived -did you mean 'give birth' or are you saying that she's been in hospital for IVF prior to the 'joyful news'. If you have to be a certain weight to get pregnant there would be a lot less births in countries where the female population are starving.
Baldric - yes :-)

I am not a Royalist but do not hate the Royal Family -why is there so much Royal bashing? Why this sort of seemingly unfounded hatred of one family who basically work for the UK promoting Great Britain -is it because they are born into wealth -many families are - HRH is not the richest person in the UK - The royals no longer rule over us -but are great figure heads and should be admired for the work they do. As for the baby -I hope Kate recovers from her Morning Sickness as I know from personal experience how horrible that can be - and I hope the baby is born healthy - We can all turn down the TV , not read the articles and even not read any posts on AB about the birth - but no -its much more fun to ridicule and joke about what is a very happy personal event for two young people -some grumpy old farts need to grown up ;-)
Really well said magsmay! I hope she will feel better before too long. Its nice to have good news.
I think it's lovely, and I'm no Royalist either.

It's not their fault the press is all over them and the pregnancy, I'm sure there will be times when they get fed up with the attention but I suppose that's just a way of life for them.
Mags, I've not seen anyone on this thread hate or bash the royals, just a few people expressing opinions, good bad or indifferent. Your suggestion that some ///some grumpy old farts need to grown up/// is uncalled for and frankly mildly offensive, it is after all a News story on which we are all entitled to comment and indeed are free to do so.
Craig, any new life is good news.
It doesn`t bother me. Nobody bats an eyelid at the constant football coverage that`s on the TV every weekend and all over the news when there`s a World Cup and we get it rammed down our throats. Same news bombardment - different subject.
Baldric - my comments were generic and aimed at all comments on the subject on AB at the moment. I do not recall aiming the grumpy old fart comment at you -but if the cap fits.....
if everyone here is correct, than can we expect newspaper circulations to drop as people refuse to read royal news?

We'll see.
