Helmsley flooding.......and biker party weekend
Does anyone have any news about the big biker weekend get-together this past weekend? Looking at an OS map it seems to have been in the middle of the chaos but no mention on the news.

Thanks folks.......would you believe it was front page headlines complete with colour photographs in today's "Dundee Courier".....that well known national newspaper.
Apparently nearly everyone went home on Saturday night before the rains but some caravans and bikes were badly damaged. No-one injured but could so easily have become a major tragedy.
I agree totally that it's wrong to class all bikers as "Hell's Angels".

I was one of the 8000 or so bikers who camped and partied and chilled over the beautiful weekend. On Sunday afternoon at about 4pm it was so hot, we jumped in the river alongside the site to cool off. It was about 2 feet deep maximum. Most people had left by then and only 200 or so bikers left. That river rose to 15 feet and flooded the site, thankfully the few who remained were well looked after, but the site was a complete disaster
