Nicholas Bendtner got fined £15,000 more for showing some advertising on his pants than Serbia did for racist chants by their fans and apalling behaviour by their players and coaches.

Football.....still in the dark ages.

I'm a bit of a numpty when it comes to football stories...what it that the England players have been suspended over??

Basically, standning their ground and mildly reacting to the extreme and severe provocation they recieved. Nothing more.
Says here that Serbia got fined £65,000. Still a joke amount though, probably cost Serbia more than that to actually investigate and try and deal with it.

Sorry, misread your post. Bendtner got fined 80K, what a joke.
Perhaps football has become so boring, it needs racist chants and coins thrown at the darkie players to make it more interesting.

I'm looking at you Etihad City.
But you are trying to apply our ethics on another 'culture'. You can't expect everyone suddenly to play catch up because we have come to our senses, it takes time; as it did in the UK (Although it is still not fully stamped out here)
I'd agree with that. Eastern Europe appear to be where we in the UK were about 30 years ago, although that doesn't excuse it in any way.

I'll start taking UEFA seriously when they actually allow their accounts to be audited and they start stamping out the corruption endemic in the organisation.
